How Much Does Dry Cleaning Cost in Singapore? A 2026 Price Guide

Dry cleaning in Singapore is priced per piece, and the piece decides the price: what it is made of, how it is built and how much of the work has to be done by hand. Below are our current prices, which stay the same all year, with the reasoning behind them. Astoria has been cleaning clothes here since 1947 and is now run by the fourth generation of the family, so these are the questions we hear across the counter every day.

What Affects the Price of Dry Cleaning

Fabric. Silk, wool, cashmere and leather need gentler processes and more time at the finishing table than cotton or polyester.

Construction. Lining, shoulder padding, pleats, beading and sequins all add work. A plain evening dress is $45; the same dress decorated with beading, sequins or lace is $55, because every embellishment is checked and protected by hand.

Size and weight. A below-the-waist winter coat holds more fabric and takes longer to dry and finish than a waist-length one, which is why it is $40 rather than $30. Curtains and household items are priced by weight for the same reason.

Stains. Stain removal is quoted separately after we have seen the mark, because the treatment depends on what it is and how long it has been there. Our stain first aid guide covers what to do before you send it in.

Turnaround and collection. Express costs more because it jumps the queue. Collection and delivery are free above $40; below that, an order is charged at $40.

On cheap dry cleaning. a lower price per piece usually means less time per piece, in spotting, finishing or inspection. The most reliable way to keep a bill down is to send each item to the right service. A cotton shirt rarely needs solvent, and choosing between dry cleaning, washing and load wash can save more than any discount.

Everyday Clothes: Shirts, Trousers and Dresses

Most everyday pieces are $9 to dry clean or launder. If a piece is already clean and only needs the creases out, press only costs less.

How Much to Dry Clean a Suit or Blazer

A suit is priced as its parts. A 2-piece suit is a jacket at $14 plus trousers at $9, so $23 to dry clean, or $15 to press only. A blazer on its own is $14.

Suits and blazers should be dry cleaned rather than washed. Water relaxes the canvas and padding that give a jacket its shape, and a home wash is the quickest way to lose it.

Winter Coats and Jackets

For most Singapore households, winter wear comes out once a year for a trip to Japan, Korea or Europe. Winter coats are priced by length, because a longer coat is more fabric to clean, dry and finish. An everyday jacket is $14.

Leather and Suede

Leather costs more because it cannot go through a standard dry cleaning machine. It is skin: cleaned by hand, then reconditioned to replace the oils that cleaning removes, so it stays supple instead of drying out and cracking. The work takes 10 to 14 days.

Wedding Gowns, Evening Wear and Festive Wear

Wedding dress dry cleaning starts from $120 and is quoted after we have inspected the gown, because two gowns can differ enormously in fabric, layers, train and beading. Evening dresses are $45 plain and $55 with beading, sequins or lace. See wedding gown cleaning for how we handle them.

Sarees, Lehengas, Cheongsam and Baju Kurong

Saree dry cleaning is $20 for the saree alone. Decorated pieces such as an embroidered lehenga cost more, because the embellishment is checked and protected by hand before and after cleaning.

Curtains, Sofa Covers and Household Items

Curtains are weighed rather than counted, because one lined blackout panel can weigh as much as several sheers. Pricing by the kilogram means you pay for the amount of fabric we actually clean.

Dropped off at an outlet, curtains, blackout curtains and Roman blinds are $14 per kg, weighed to the nearest kilogram. If we take them down and put them back up, it is $16 per kg, or $20.50 per kg for ceilings of 3 to 4 metres, with a $150 minimum order.

A worked example: a 4kg pair of blackout curtains is 4 × $14 = $56 dropped off. With removal and installation it would be 4 × $16 = $64, but the $150 minimum applies, so that service makes most sense when you are doing several rooms at once. On-Site Upholstery Cleaning

Some things cannot come to us, so we clean them at your home: sofas, mattresses and curtains left hanging. On-site work has a $150 minimum. Details are on our sofa, mattress and carpet cleaning page.

Express, Minimums and Other Charges

Express. Next-day service is 2× the normal rate and same-day is 3×, for items sent in before 12pm and subject to availability. Express runs Monday to Saturday only.

Wash and fold. For everyday clothing, load wash is $8 per kg with a 5kg minimum, usually the cheapest way to clean a household's weekly laundry.

Pressing. If a piece is clean and only creased, press only costs less than cleaning. Press-only prices are shown in brackets on our price list for every item.

Everything else. Stain removal is quoted after inspection. Collection and delivery are free on orders above $40, and smaller orders are charged at $40. We collect Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and parking fees are passed on where they apply.
